As part of this Brave and Courageous Community of Sojourners, you will learn about trauma, Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TSY) and healing trauma at the nervous system level.
As part of this interactive and multifaceted learning platform, you will experience for yourself a variety of nervous system calming and healing practices that go beyond stress management and coping.
You might be living with traumatic stress responses like anxiety, chronic illness, chronic pain, fatigue or migraines to just name a few, that can be healed not just managed. My goal is to have you not just feel better, but BE Better.
I am trained to help my students heal from trauma and traumatic stress by applying the nervous system regulating practices of mindfulness, somatic awareness, TSY, breathwork, meditation, and Embodied Truth* in a Christ-centered atmosphere.
KAREN has personal experience with post-trauma stress, loss, and grief. Through this journey, she discovered her passion to help others heal from trauma. She is a 10-year, two-time breast cancer and trauma survivor. Karen was introduced to yoga while recovering from breast cancer surgeries and treatments as well as a broken pelvis from a car accident. She credits much of her healing – in body, mind, and spirit – to the somatic, mindful, and spiritual practice of Christ-centered yoga.
